Smoothing Peaks and Dips

I have a 6 db spike at 100 hz in my listening room and two 10-12 db dips at 1000 hz & 50 hz; does anyone have any ideas what may be causing them? Any ideas how to correct them without using an equalizer?

I have you tried different placements? Even just a couple feet difference in placement can make a big change.

Well, unfortunately, I can't move them anywhere else. I spoke to a Hsu tech today, & he felt that if my speakers imaged well (which they do) that I'm likely just going to have to live with room resonances. He did mention that perhaps placing a sub in a corner might tame some of the problems, but may also create others.
