On some of the more demanding scenes in Braveheart...my STF-2 is vibrating up and down on my hardwood floors.

At first I thought it was the seal issue, but upon closer inspection, i found the sub was acutally moving up and down. Thus causing the virabrating sound.

Is that normal with a down firing sub?
I guess I'll have to weigh it down with something.

Seems kind of wierd to me. Maybe HSU should build the sub with a floor stand or brace to avoid this.

you suppose to put a rug underneath it.

Unfortunately, there is so much power from the amplifier and woofer that it moves up and down a little. Putting a throw rug underneath will help eliminate any vibration.

Another idea is to put a potted plant on top!
