I currently have the vtf-mk3 turbo and a mbm-12. I am happy with it but now I feel like I want cleaner and louder output in the lower frequencies. How much stronger is the vtf-3 HO then the vtf-3 mk3 in max extension mode? Also since the vtf3 mk3 box is the same as the HO, is it posible to upgrade the vtf3 mk3 driver and amp to the HO? If so how much would it cost? :D Although I shouldnt be upgrading soon I am am very curious about the HO now after realizing how much I like deep bass bellow 20hz.Heck I wasnt planing on upgrading and getting the mbm-12 this year but ended up doing it.:D

In Craig Chase's Subwoofer comparison tests (http://www.tweakcityaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11), the HO only had one more decibel of output at 20 Hz than the 3.3. You would probably be better of just adding another 3.3 with Turbo.

What about in the infrasonic's like 12hz-19hz.

Hey a3,
How large is your room? Where are your VTF-3 MK3/t and MBM-12 currently placed?
The HO is stronger and cleaner in the deeper bass compared to the MK3, but I wouldn't recommend swapping out driver and amp for new driver and new amp because it would probably cost as much as a brand new VTF-3 HO in maple right now!
One nice advantage for the HO is that you can run it in max output mode (both ports open, no turbo) and get significantly deeper extension and stronger deep bass output than the -3 MK3 in max output mode. In max extension mode, the frequency response profiles between HO and -3 MK3 are more similar, but the HO is still a bit stronger.
Adding a second VTF-3 MK3 might give you what you need, provided that you have enough space for it!

Well my apartment is a lil small :D. My living room were the vtf3 mk3 and mbm-12 is small. It is about 18 feet long 11 feet wide and 8 feet tall. On the side there is a huge 10 feet maybe more opening to the dinning room about the same size as the other room. I have my vtf3 mk3 In the left hand corner. and my mbm-12 behind what i call the sweet spot couch. I made a quick ms paint sketch lol:D its not exactly scale or beutiful but it kinda how the room is setup. the living room and dinning room are about the same size. I think in the future I can stack another vtf3 or 4 lol:D. I cant't put a sub in the right corner as their is a door that opens to the balcony. lol I want all this above my lil old mananger:eek:. No complaints ever and I listen loud!
