So, how will a single ULS compare against a HO/Turbo with MBM combo?

Looking at a purchase here in the near future, and not sure what I'll need. The HO/Turbo-MBM combo sounds really good, but as everyone else here, I'm looking for better :D

ULS by itself?
ULS plus the MBM?
2 ULS's?
2 ULS's plus an MBM?

Room is about 6000cuft, with vaulted ceilings, hardwoods(large rug covering 75% of the hardwoods), and tile.

I'll say something!
Like in life.... You give some, You earn some!
Two ULS-15 should exceed the experience of the HO with MBM combo...

I have the same size room as you do. With my setup the bass is OK, but at times I wish there was more output at 20hz or so. I would say that you should try the MBM with the ULS due to your room size.

Thanks Bill.

Me, If I had the $$$, 2 would do it. But I would also keep my 2 MBM's for the mid bass. Rooms that are as big as ours, the MBM concept works very well for us.

n7, do you think you will be able to place the true subwoofer in the nearfield? If so, I would lean towards just going with dual ULS-15...

No, if I went with duals, then they would have to be at the front stage. I could keep the MBM and keep it nearfield.
