Wooden Floors

Hi, I have the VTF-2, and wooden floors.I seem to have finally found the right place for my baby, should I put a mat under the Sub or leave as is.Sounds just fine at the minute without mat, I am asking as my fairer half saw something on TV advising folks to put a mat or the like under Sub.
