Wow! I apparently never owned a real subwoofer before! I received my VTF-3 Mk 3 this week and after getting it powered up and set up, the bass output from it is astounding! I was previously running two subs from Klipsch, but they didn't come anywhere near the clean and commanding response this sub delivers. It has made my entire system seem more a live and dynamic. I can’t wait to review my music and movie collection to hear what I’ve been missing!

Yep. My first sub from HSU was the 3mk3, and honestly it was the most impressive demonstration of what a good subwoofer sounds like! I have been impressed several times with the VTF-15H, but the first impression counts the most definately!

Had my VTF-2 MK 3 delivered today. Was surprised by the size of it at first. It replaced a Polk PSW 404, which is about half the size of the Hsu. Unboxed, hooked it up, ran the MCCAC on my SC-07 and started playing concert DVD's. Oh my goodness! You mean the bass in an instrument, not a rumble to annoy the neighbors? Now I know what people mean when they say a sub is "musical". I ran two calibrations, one with both ports open (music), the other with one port closed (movies). Have yet to go through the movies and I am sure I will be equally impressed when I go through those.

1 port for movies and 2 for music? Isn't that backwards from the typical?
