Does anyone know what the amp wattage was on the TN825? My amp somehow fried itself and I need to know the wattage so I can replace it.
Thanks.

It was a 75 watt amp but had equalization similar to the TN1225. So, the Bass Optimizer can equalize it. We can also try to repair the unit for a reasonable charge if you would like.

I tried to fix it myself, but I didn't have much luck. One of the resistors burnt the circuit board pretty bad. Some of the traces on the circuit board burnt off. I've tried to repair it several times and I don't think it is saveable.
There are 2 circuit boards inside the amp - one that looks like the amplification board and another that looks like input/output interface board. The amp board is the one that got fried. Perhaps you have some old amp boards lying around that you could sell me? (I doubt it, but I can wish)
Your post said something about equalization. Is there a special equalization that is needed for the subwoofer? If so, does this mean that a regular old amp won't work? I was going to buy this amp (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=300-792) to replace the whole unit. Would this work with the subwoofer?
Thanks so much for your help.

That amp will work okay, as it is rated for 4 ohms. However, it will not work optimally compared to our amps, because our amps have both an EQ and subsonic filters set for the enclosure type. Our 150 watt VTF-2 amp in the 25 Hz position will eq the signal in almost the same way as the TN825 amp. Please call us to order a replacement.
