First, My setup: Klipsch THX Ultra speakers, Hsu VTF3 MKII (farfiled and approx 10 ft. from sweet spot), MBM-12 (nearfield and approximately 3 feet from sweetspot), and an Onkyo TXSR805 receiver.
Is this a correct setup?
1. Klipsch Ultras set to THX 80Hz (or possibly 60Hz as set by Audyssey?)
2.VTF3 MKII sub set to in, 60Hz
3.MBM-12 set to out
Also, when I run the Audyssey, should I have the MBM-12 off during the auto calibration or should both subs be on?
Should I have the gain set low or at a specific level when I run the Audyssey and then manually adjust it upward after?
Is this the proper way to manually set distance/delay: measure sweet spot to farfield and nearfield subs, then average the distance (one 10' and one 2 ft' = 6' distance set manually).
