I just changed my front 3 speakers and the manual says to set the crossover on a subwoofer to 60hz. I currently have my VTF-2 set to "Out" and my receiver's digital bass management to 100hz (it won't go lower). The speakers are set to small. I briefly talked to a technical advisor from the company and he said I definately should use the crossover at 70 or at least 80hz regardless of the reciever's setting but I thought this would cause a "bass gap." My Denon Universal player's bass management is set at Small and 80hz. When I use this to play SACD's etc...through the Component audio jacks, it bypasses the receiver's bass management. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help!

Many, many receivers have crossovers that don't go any lower than 100 Hz. This means the subwoofer will be doing more of the work in reproducing bass, which is not a problem.

I think you don't have anything serious to worry about, except a bit more directionality from the subwoofer since it is playing higher notes.
