Just ordered the VTF3-MK3 and HC-1 Center...hurry up and ship! :)
My first time with Hsu, and after discussing with friends and forum members at AVS...feel I've made the right choice in the 'bang for the buck' HT area.
I am a big gamer, and Blu-Ray movie type...so the bulk will be based around that. Right now my system will be - Paradigm Monitor 9's, Hsu Center, Hsu Sub and will be adding the Yamaha RX-V3900 receiver once they finally release it.

Wow...it is shipping today! Awesome!
Question - what is the left/right plug area located at 'low level inputs'? My current and future receiver will have one plug out from it for sub...so which of those do I use?
I am assuming the high level input is only used if I am putting my receiver/speakers on 'large' setting? (which I don't do)

You will use the rca/sub cable from the sub to the receiver sub preout. Left or right doesn't matter...

Yeah, cacimar is right, you can plug the subwoofer cable into either the left or the right rca input on the sub. Set the volume knob on the sub to about 9 or 10 o'clock to start, and the crossover switch on the sub to 'Out'. This will bypass the subwoofer's built in crossover, and you can set subwoofer crossover/distance/level all through the receiver.
Thanks so much for the vote of confidence and enthusiasm, hope you really enjoy it!
Sincerely,

AWESOME! That sums up the equipment.
I set it the volume knob at 12 o' clock last night...about 11:30pm the wife had enough and came all the way downstairs (it was shaking the house, our bedroom is three floors up)...so YEAH BUDDY!
...and the tone test CD you guys include...wow...

I'm glad you are having fun man!
I think 11:30 is wayyyyyyy too high...
Arent you hearing the driver making a pop sound?
Set the dial at the back at the sub at 9oclock -10o clock position for better results...
Excellent purchase you made with a 3.3.

^Yeah, I had it up too high...especially since the wife could feel the rumble upstairs. It's all dialed in now, just waiting for Yamaha to release the RX-V3900 and my latest HT upgrade is complete.
I REALLY like the sound from the HC1-MK2...I originally bought it for the living room (which is really where my wife watches TV - downstairs is the main enterntainment/gaming area), since I already have the AV123 X-CS Encore for a center...but that has now been swapped, I like the overall 'crisp' sound of the HC1 much better.

Is there a good 'how-to' on using the Radio Shack SPL (it is not digital)? I am an overall noob to audio set-up, so trying to get everything on track.

Wow, thanks. I've been a member at AVS for a few years and I've never run across that topic.
