Performance 2 speaker palcement question

Hi,
I am leaning towards performance2 system. I guess it works as a 6.1 and the catch is If I read this correctly, the rear center speaker will be an issue in my case.

The back of the couch opens to Kitchen with a 5-6ft opening. Only choice would be to fix it close to ceiling approx. 9ft from the floor(ceiling ht. is 11ft.) and try to setup the rear ones at the same ht.

Also would like to get a suggestion/opinion for an Onkyo reciever (around $600 range).

Hi srv,

It is not really essential for one to hook up the rear center speaker. In your case you may be better off simply putting the rear center satellite away and running a 5.1 system.

The Onkyo receivers are very nice

Yeah you can posibbly get an 805,705 or 606...
