Hi, I orderd an HSU Sub through Ascend Acoustics and it arrives friday. Can somebody tell me what cords I need to buy for the VTF-2, or does it come with everything I need out of the box?

Do I need speaker wire or some sort of RCA shaped connecter -> or nothing because its all included.

Most people just need an interconnect from your decoders subwoofer output.

See the online manual which explains hookup options and whats in the box.

The VTF-2 is an excellent subwoofer that fully deserves its rep. Because its all done via direct sales, you will find it is very hard to beat the obvious value as well.

hi, you just need a subwoofer cable which you can buy already in a pack just what the guys here in HSU are selling or you can DIY by buying a cable and 2 pairs of rca jacks at your DIY shop.

Enjoy your vtf-2. Try to break it in first for about 24-48 hours atleast.

Thanks for the Info! I just checked out the PDF ... very helpful.

I was just wondering about a DIY cable. Is this going to be the cheapest option (by alot) for a 25 foot run or so? Also what type of cable do I need? Can I just take speaker wire and splice it onto some RCA cable? or does that fall into the "ghetto" category?

Just curious. I'm very excited for my sub!

Home made interconnect is fine, but you shouldn't use speaker wire because it isn't shielded. You can actually use coaxial cable, the kind that cable TV comes in on. That is cheap. More information can be found at this post:
