From everything I read it sounds like the VT12's are for me. The review from Home Theatre and High Fidelity states that the ventriloquist mode will be avaialble in the next iteration of the VT-12s. Has there been any mention of when this feature will be available on the VT-12s?
Any help/info would be much appreciated.

Are you referring to the Ventriloquist effect on the rear surrounds? That feature was taken away because most people don't want such a big rear surround.
The Ventriloquist mode is available on the VT-12 fronts now, if that is what you meant. :)

I would agree with Thomas. I think many people would like to at least have the "option" as they already have commited to liking the 80-200 Hz bass hole being filled on the front soundstage, so filling 80-200 Hz on the back soundstage makes sense. Remembering each channel is full range and most subs are only handling below 100 Hz (at the most) from these channels. Because a shelf or bracket can be installed for this bigger center I find most people would not be disturbed by this, in fact many would see this as a viable option. I think a detailed poll of VT-12 owners may be in order if you really wanted to know the answer as to offering it as an option but why not just sell the front seperate so then people can choose to put it on the rear shelf, bookcase, cupboard etc More options mean more customers are kept buying Hsu, so I think its got to be a good thing for Hsu to offer.

A poll sounds like a good idea ... I shall attempt one.
I am with everyone else - I would get one.
