I want to add an MBM12 to my system but I can not pay new price right now. Is anyone selling one here on the Hsu forum or does Hsu have B stock?

I might be selling mine. I just bought two new matching subwoofers and am not sure if I'll be keeping the MBM - I might have to sell it to help pay for the new subs. I'm going to do some setting up over the next few days and see what combination I like best. I'll keep you in mind.

I am also looking for one. I might bite and buy one new, but a good deal on a used would be a no-brainer.

Well I went ahead and ordered one. So I guess I don't need a used one.

HEHEH...
what sub are you going to use it with?

I have an Axiom EP-600. Also, I wanted to get the sealed model, so I just got off the phone with a rep confirming that. It's a $50 cost, not $10 as I read somewhere else, but it's still not that much money.

Do you feel that the Axiom lacks in midbass?

Well, the thing about that Axiom is that it hits really low and hard at low levels, but I always thought it's mid bass perfmance was a little too boomy maybe and it also was competing with producing lower bass frequencies. Additionally, it's ported and I like tight, punchy midbass. Lastly, even set to bypass (150hz crossover) the Axiom really does not produce anything over 100hz. It's a very steep roll-off. I'd like to lower the crossover setting on the Axiom and let it focus on the area where I feel it shines best. War of the Worlds makes my whole house shake with this thing. I can also take some strain off of the mains (MA RS8's) let them focus on 120hz + frequencies. My main goal in buying an MBM is to add a little more to music I like to listen to, which is alot of heavy rock. I want to feel that guitar a little more and hear those bass line a little clearer. I'm hoping by adding the MBM it will provide me with better bass performance all around. I'm also in the process of doing a full room calibration. I am ordering a Galaxy CM 140 to run REW and I have a BFD for my Axiom. When it's all said and done I hope i can get my system right where I want it.
