Date of production

Is there a way to find out when a sub was produced by looking at the box or the sub itself??

I think the boxes have a ship date on them.

All the posting about build dates and the woofer seal issue has people wondering if their sub is OK.....my STF-2 was originally bought in December '03 and it has no problems at all...and I have run it hard with the "Darla" scene plenty of times.
