I am thinking of trying to purchase an additional TN1220 to go with my current single tube.

I purchased one TN1220's direct from HSU in the middle of 2004. What version driver do I have?

When looking for a used TN1220 how can I tell what version driver is in the tube?

How many versions of the drivers where there for the TN series?

If I am lucky enough to find a tube, can I still purchase the most uptodate driver and how much does it cost?

How important is it to exactly match the drivers in a twin tube setup?

Hi dmass,

You may want to fire off an email to tech support about this. That said, I don't think it is critical to match the drivers when adding a second TN1220HO.

I am now the proud owner of a dual TN1220 setup. oy my! Now the tweaking, placement and EQ'ing begin all over again.

HSU tech support said that there were 5 versions of TN drivers. I have no idea which version I have, but from the feedback from tech support the two drivers are similar, but not identical.

Also, for those that care, a new TN replacement 12" driver is $175 + $25 shipping. A little expensive I think, but hopefully I don't need it.
