I am currently powering my dual TN1220 setup with a bass optimizer and a Parasound HCA1000 2 channel amp. I have plenty of power however, the Parasound amp does not have any cross over or phase controls.
I would like to consider powering my dual TN1220's with an amp such as the partsexpress amp:
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-810
The partsexpress amp is rated 512w into 8 ohm and 1024w into 4 ohm. It is not rated for 2 ohms.
However this amps and other plate amps only offer one channel of amplification. Can I connect both TN1220 tubes to a single channel of amplificiation? I believe that the orginal HSU amp worked that way.
What ohm and power specs do I need to make sure that my amp supports to allow two TN's on one channel of amplification?
How exactly do I wire up the two TN's? Do I run a pair of wires from one tube and also a second pair from the second tube and connect them both up to the +/- posts on the single amp channel?
