it makes sense that down fired woofer,well go down, where does the woofer face , the wall? or out into the room

and does anyone have a problem with noise from their hsu sub cable ??? i do

The orientation of the woofer normally doesn't make a very big difference, especially in the deep bass. You can always experiment with different orientations to see what works best though. Just try to give at least 2" of space between woofer and anything it fires into.

It is normal for there to be some type of hum or buzz when you touch the plugged end of the cable, but otherwise, when not moving around the cable, you shouldn't hear any of that.
