Looking to improve my 10+ year old hsu 5.1 pkg..
Denon x3600 avr

If I just wanted to uprade LR speakers only, what would you recommend?

The ccb8-s look really big...
CCB8-P is smaller, but would it match the older hsu Center?

The CCB-8 single and pair is the exact same speaker, only the single has the binding post cap on the back rotated 90 deg for center orientation. However, you can take a pair speaker and rotate the grille and binding post cap 90 deg to match the center configuration. The CCB-8's are not 100% timbre matched with the HC-1 like the HB's are, but since they are reproducing different material a majority of the time, you probably won't notice much of a difference.
