While i doubt its a 60hz hum, you may be semi correct, ie it seems like it could be a 50hz hum (which is what our A/C is at).

I'll see if i can source some sort of adaptor to remove the earth, again...

Im in Australia and im set on getting a HSU sub.

I have the option of getting a "traded" VTF-2 from the local distributor, refurbed and with warrenty for $850-$950 AUD
OR can wait till January and...
