My amp is blown in my VTF-3 MK2. I need a replacement amp. Will the current VTF-3 MK5 amp fit the VTF-3 MK2? What are my replacement options?

Talking Just a thought

If my VTF-3 MK2 volume is a clock, I have mine set at 7:30-8:00. That's like 20% up from zero. The setting of 55% than Dominic is using is around 12:30 if it's a clock. Disregarding the 1,000-2,000%...

Peter,
Perhaps you should post a sticky regarding volume level. Suggesting a SPL analog meter would also be helpful. Many users have started their new subs with excessive volume level (+30% power)...

It has been my experience with my MK2 that certain 5.1 audio movies really bring the MK2 to life. The worst part of the MK2 is that after a few months you will take the performace of your MK2 for...

Make sure to setup your sub to Maximum Extension. Any quality digital source will do. MP3's will not sound as good as DVD Audio music. I like my VTF-3 for movies best. However, with digitally...

55% percent on the dial is not only overkill, but unheard of. I would be surprised if even the largest room would require over 25% power.

I can assure you that the HSU VTF-3 MK2 will never distort...

I don't doubt the HO will sound great. I just think that downward firing woofers take away the directional sound of the sub. I'm very happy with my VTF-3 MK2. If I did not already have the MK2, I...

Secrets of Home Theater is extremely good at reviewing products. Their review of the VTF-3 MK2 was the reason I bought my VTF-3.

The Denon AVR-3805 would be a great choice. I have the AVR-3801 myself. Just an older version of the 3805. An excellent choice and a potential upgrade for me in the future.

VTF-2

I rarely vote for anything other than a VTF-3 MK2 but this time I will say the VTF-2 because you have an apartment. When you rob enough banks to buy your mansion, then the VTF-3 MK2 will do nicely.

Lemony Snicket offers great bass

A great movie for sub demo's that most wouldn't think of, Lemony Snickets. This Jim Carey flick has outstanding sound and picture as well. The bass is well mastered.

VTF-3 MK2

Yes, the VTF-3 probably would not be described as loud, it is. But it's more like an experience that happens to be very powerful. I don't want to compare it to hearing the Blue Angel's F-18 flight...

Smile My vote is for the VTF-3 MK2

If you had an 8x4ft prison cell, I would still suggest the VTF-3 MK2. Nothing beats having that 20hz at the bottom. Anybody who settles for less is either cheap or on a tight budget.

To quote the...

Smile Auditions are nice but you don't need to audition a HSU sub

There is really no need to audition a HSU sub. I'm certain you will be hard pressed to find a better sub from a different manufacturer at a lower price. Most people who say they've found a better sub...
