Buy it! if you are not satisfied they will take it back. I love my VTF3-MK2 alot.! From everything to movies, to jazz, the Eagles, White Stripes, Usher, Outkast, the kitchen sink sounds better...

Yes they are older Magnepans I' m not sure which model they are. They are huge ribbon type speakers. The svs is a pbs-12 . Currently he listens to only two channel stereo with the sub.

On both my vtf-3 mk 2 and my vtf-2 I keep them tuned to max output. I tried them both ways and am really surprised that more people don't go plugless. My vtf-3 will play down to 20 Hz with ease...

Clipping

Clipping usually refers to an amplifier being overtaxed or driven to the point of distortion which can seriously damage the amplifier and the speakers.
