With the track Saint Saens the spl reached up to 110 for most of the track. I don't know if that was too much. The speakers were also on for the test while the sub was playing.

Sorry the pic is outdated. Right now the sub is next to the component rack and the fireplace because that is were I got the best spl. Would a second sub even out the bass to avoid any bommy bass?

I have mine set between 9 and 10 o'clock and it is just right. Do the MCAAC and got up or down on the sub volume knob and keep redoing MCAAC until the receiver reads 0 or closer to 0 is ok.
