Question Interesting statement

Interesting comment. How could you damage your speakers by setting the crossover too low? Does not the receiver drive the mains and the subwoofer amp drive the subwoofer? My concern stems from...

VERY " SUBJECTIVE" ANSWER

Difficult question to answer as the answer depends upon the listner. To my ears, the answer is "yes". At the same time I do not believe you are going to get anybody that bought this speaker to say...

MAIN SPEAKERS

Main speakers are ADS monitor series. Quite old (25 years) but quite good and expensive when bought-German speakers. Three way with dual 8" woofers. Center speaker is an HC-1. Cross over at 80Hz. :)

Unhappy PIONEER RECEIVER AND MCACC

If you use MCACC, the mains are automatically set to "large" (if capable). You do not have the option to go "small" with the auto set-up. Only in the manual mode-which then means calibrating with the...

PIONEER RECEIVER

Have same issue. If I interpret what you said correctly, after setting the mains to small, go back and run auto calibration. Will that not result in the mains being set to "large" again?

VTF2 MK-2, STF-2, ETC.

I was in a similar boat as you. One thing is different. My room is close to 2900 ft(3). 23'X14'x9'. But 2900 ft (3) is less than the 3000 ft(3) specified for the STF-2 and VTF2 MK-2. Originally...
