Near field use of CCB-8

Iím considering a relatively small surround sound system with the front stage using three CCB-8 speakers. The thing is that the main seating position will be about 6-7 feet from the front speakers. I know that the coaxial design should be an advantage in the near field, but iím wondering if there are any other aspects of the speakers that might present a problem. For example, could their relatively large size cause them to be overpoweing, even if they are used with recommended 15 degree off axis positioning? (Just an example of a possible problem.)

Thanks.
