My first piece of Hsu hardware......I acquired an older VTF-3 amplifier in great condition. I assume this is a very old version, since it has a very "sensitive" volume knob. It appears to work correctly, I did a quick test on a driver I had laying around. It is quite a little beast. I did a little reading here, but couldn't find definitive answers, so I have a couple of questions:
Does the amp have an adjustable/switchable HPF that the 20/25 Hz switch controls?
If I were to build a ported sub, does the amp have an HPF around 20 Hz (or any)? How should the new box be tuned (Fb) for driver protection?

This is the answer received directly from the Hsu team via email:
Yes, there is a HPF associated with the 20/25 Hz switch positions. You can either have a 20 or 25 Hz tuned cabinet and use the respective switch position. Note that there are specific EQ built-in to the amp for the VTF-3 sub, that may not match your driver/enclosure, but you should still get a decent result.
Thanks goes to tech support for answering quickly (over the weekend even)!
