![]() So I have a cheap little entertainment shelf, because I have a stupid little cutout in my living room wall. With just 3 components and my center speaker [hc1-mk2] I could not fit everything in it. I also can not buy a shelf that will fit this stupid cutout. So I decided to build a custom speaker mount to relocate my center speaker above my tv. Here are some before / after pics I thought I would share.

Looks fantastic Brian, very well done! How do you think it sounds vs. the previous center speaker location underneath the TV?

When I first bought the speaker set, my center was atop a large Panasonic CRT rear projection TV and angled at the main listening position. With the Panasonic Plasma, having to put the center under the TV in a shelf was definitely detrimental to the sound quality. I am happy to have it above the TV and in the open again. Hey, even my wife instantly noticed the difference in dialogue clarity during one of her favorite TV shows. Being in a enclosed space really muffled the sound of the HC-1 mk2. I also was not able to use the included stand to adjust the angle of the center due to the space constraint. As you might notice in the after pics, that stand became a great looking shelf
