CCB-8 Port Plugs

Just received my CCB-8 speakers (3) yesterday. I noticed they come with port plugs. Is there any documentation available on their use? I didn't see any old posts pertaining to them.

Hi there!

Basically, we designed the CCB-8's with two ports open in mind, so I would start there. If you feel that the speakers are sounding a bit boomy, you can try sealing one port, then both ports to reduce boominess. Note that when sealing off ports, you are making the speakers less efficient in terms of clean output that they can deliver.

Smile

Thanks for your quick reply. I only have 4-5 hours listening time since I received these new speakers. Boomy they are not. With my limited listening experience I would describe them as super detailed. Quite a change from what I'm used to. I think I'm going to really like these guys.

Glad to hear it Steve! They are certainly more detailed than our HB-1 Mk2's.
