HSU VTF-3 MKII amp issues
I sent an email to HSU and am waiting a response but thought I would seek some advice here as well. I purchased two HSU VTF-3 MKII subs. One sub sounds great, the 2nd there is VERY LITTLE sound coming from the sub, even at full volume. Plus the music that does come from the sub is pretty distorted sounding.
Since I have two identical amps, I swapped the amp plate and the issue followed the amp. Any idea what HSU charges to repair or look at the amp? |

No idea what they would charge - is it outside of the warranty period? If so, wait for HSU team to get back to you. If it's in warranty, you would have to get an RMA from them and pay to ship it TO them.
How old is the sub? |

Thanks, I received an email from HSU today.
Servicing runs $140 plus $25 S/H if you are in the lower 48 states and you have to ship it back as well. It also will have only 90 day warranty. The alternative is to purchase the VTF-3 MK4 amp but you will need to do it for both subs. That runs $235 plus $25 S/H each if you are in the lower 48 states. You get a full 1 year warranty with the new amp. I'm not sure how old the subs are since they were purchased used. I'm assuming they are well out of warranty and not sure even if HSU has transferrable warranties. |

Sorry to hear that. The VTF-3 Mk2 is likely out of warranty as the sub is around 10-11 years old. Please call in to our headquarters and have the serial number ready so we can look up the original order and verify. Thanks.
