Duel subs - STF-2

Hi all,

I currently own a STF2. I want to upgrade but was hoping to add a 2nd sub, but another STF2 is hard to come by especially in Canada. Suggestions on adding another sub, should I stay with 2 10's or can i add a 12" sub...let me know thoughts...

Hi there!

Generally, it's ideal to have two of the same performing subs as you know they a perfectly matched and you can maximize the potential out of both. However if that is not an option, then I would make sure that the second sub will match the performance of your first sub or play louder and cleaner. Adding a 12" should be fine. The main consideration is that the 10" won't play quite as loud or as clean as the 12", especially in the low bass, so that may end up bottlenecking how loud the 12" would play.
