Onkyo pre-amp with amp

So I am revisiting this issues of using Onkyo Av Receiver with Outlaw amp or something of that nature.. As I like the Preamp features of Onkyo..
Do you all think there would be big difference in power noticeable?

Currently have Onkyo 706
hsu package Hybrid 15 with VTF-15 sub

Thanks

The difference would only become noticeable if you listened at loud volumes. I would only do it if you are looking for a few more decibels. Another advantage that it has it the outboard amp takes a load off the AVR, which reduces heat in the AVR and extends its life, as heat reduces the longevity of electronics. Onkyos are especially bad in this regard. My Onkyo 707 did not last long as it should have, and it always ran hot. I think a separate amp may be worth doing for long term reliability of your AVR more than any difference in sound.
