HC1-MK2
concerning the above speaker, how would the performance be affected by operating it with the ports closed? I do realize that the potential SPL level would be reduced, but what other ramifications could one expect: all other speakers, in my 6.1 system, are sealed, "acoustic suspension" design-and I am wondering wihat would be the effect of operating the HC1 in sealed mode also----Pete, hope you, and/or Dr. Hsu will chime in on this possible mode of operation-and effects, both goood and bad.

Hi Paul,
When plugging the ports on the HC-1 MK2, the low frequency rolloff of the speaker will start at a higher frequency, but the rolloff slope will be more gentle too. The driver excursion demands will be higher at some frequencies too. I haven't tried running the HC-1 MK2 this way, but I suppose it won't hurt to try it. Sincerely,

Thanks for the reply Pete-since I crossover the HC at 60hz, I don't think I would gain anything by running it in the plugged mode.
