Settings receiver for VT12/STF-3

I own a Ventriloquist system and a STF-3 sub. My receiver is a Yamaha RX-V750. Before I use a SPL meter and test disc, what settings should I use on my receiver in the setup part of the speakers (crossover settings, etc.) Currently I use my receiver for the bass management (Crossover on sub set to off). Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Hello Groenewoud,

When you have a chance, take a look at pages 4 and 5 in the STF-3 owners guide here:

Take care!

SPL Meter

On page 5 of the STF-3 manual they advise to buy the analog Radio Shack SPL meter and not the digital version. I went on-line on the Radio Shack web site and could only find the digital version. Is this a problem? Does the digital version have corrections for certain frequencies also like the analog version? Thanks!
