VT-12 speaker location question
Hello,
Do the instructions tell you the best speaker locations? For example, how far apart should the front speakers be and should they face forward or be angled? Also, should the rear surround be facing each other, be angled towards the TV, or face forward towards the TV? I assume that the rear center should face directly towards the tv. Thanks, Grayson |

Just got mine yesterday..
Yes, the instructions do tell how to position them.
The fronts should be 6-9 ft. apart, angled towards a central listening position. I would use the rule of: distance apart == distance from listener to midpoint between speakers. The center should be as close to the TV as possible (preferably, on top of the TV) The L/R rears should be above and slightly behind the listener facing each other. The center rear should be above and behind the litener. --john-- |

<The center should be as close to the TV as possible (preferably, on top of the TV)>
It works just as well when placed below the TV. Be sure that it is not on the floor though. I have my center speaker between the receiver cabinet and the TV. I made a box to hold the center speaker and allow the TV to sit on the box. Check out the pictures in the "More reviews of VT-12?" thread. Good luck! |
