Near field use of CCB-8
I’m considering a relatively small surround sound system with the front stage using three CCB-8 speakers. The thing is that the main seating position will be about 6-7 feet from the front speakers. I know that the coaxial design should be an advantage in the near field, but i’m wondering if there are any other aspects of the speakers that might present a problem. For example, could their relatively large size cause them to be overpoweing, even if they are used with recommended 15 degree off axis positioning? (Just an example of a possible problem.)
Thanks. |

Thanks. One follow-up question. I know about listening 15 degrees (or so) off axis. For left and right speakers, you recommend crossing the speakers in front of the main listening position. What about the center? Should it just be aimed some distance below ear level?
