Buying "Performance 2" package - do I need more speaker wire?

hey guys - I am getting the performance 2 set
  • 1 STF-2 Subwoofer
  • 1 Ventriloquist 6 speaker surround set
I have read reviews saying that the package does not come with a speaker wire?? I am confused - do I need to buy anything additional to connect the speakers??? Little help

thanks!

also any personal experiences with this set would be great - never heard of HSU but I only read good things!

Hi delt, welcome to the forum!

The system noted above will need a subwoofer interconnect. We sell a good quality 20 foot subwoofer cable for $15. See here: http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/cable.html

Sincerely,

Good evening delt,

You will also need speaker cables for hookup of the satellite speakers. Cables from Home Depot or Walmart will be just fine. On the Ventriloquist product page on our website, take a look at the owners manual, section C which gives "Speaker Wire Tips" for info on what type of speaker cable to get.

Take care, and hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Sincerely,
I just love this comment . Instead of trying to sell a customer a 20 ft cable for $100, Hsu sells you a good quality, 20 ft cable for a measly $15. This is just another reason why I am proud to be an Hsu customer. They sell absolutely incredible subs at resonable prices, and while other companies would try to sell you the same cable $100, so they could make a huge profit, Hsu sells you the cable for $15.

Peter and company Keep up the good work.

Sincerely,
EDIT - it looks like you recommend Omnimount 10 series. What about speaker mounts?

I hope the wiring is easy b/c I have never manually wired a set of speakers before (referring to the wire i need to buy to hook this up).

EDIT (2) - there is no way to make these wireless right? I'm trying to think how I'm going to make this look good with the wall mounts

I'm still waiting for you to test drive an MBM-12 with your HO/turbo. See caci's comments in this section

Hi delt,

Here is some information on speaker mounts:

http://forum.hsuresearch.com/showthr...=speaker+mount

Dr. Hsu should be able to walk you through how to attach everything in case it's not clear from the manual. He can be reached at techsupport email address, or sometimes by office phone too. Unfortunately the VT system will need the speaker cables, and the subwoofer will need the subwoofer interconnect.

Have a nice day!
