What sound settings do you guys use???

Like for normal tv - I use the setting with all the speakers playing the same sound.

Music = all playing sound (not surround)

Movies - Dolby Digital (movie setting)

my onkyo won't let me play dolby digital Game setting though which is very weird (only plays the Movie and Music setting).

I would just set my B&K to THX. If it was Dobly Digtal it would select the best playback automatically. If the source was stereo, it would default to Prologic II. However there were times when straight stereo was the best.

It is too bad that there is not just one setting that would work best for everything and everyone. But playing with different settings on films I have seen and heard many times is half the fun of trying to discover what sounds best.

you say you use pro logic for stereo but my onkyo SR505 - I use pro logic IIx for dolby digital surround sound. It's a feature available under the surround sound options. Wonder why your PL is just stereo (or maybe you can apply that to stereo settings)

anyway my next task is trying to find white stereo wire that is 14awg. Need a good website for that....
