Very good coverage of Hsu at NY Audio Show

Hsu is definitely doing something right when they are being compared positively to a Focal Stella Utopia setup! Congrats on the great showing!

Shoulda, coulda...DIDN'T! Kevin, stop hiding - post a pic of yourself...in this digital age, communication has become so impersonal! We want to put a face to the person who puts up all these comments on the forum, and releases new hardware........such a TEASE!!!

I'm assuming you're related to Dr. & Mrs. Hsu?

Gah! I guess dug myself into that one. :P

I'm not related to the Hsu's. I get that a lot though.

Back in April I drove down to Hsu's headquarters and purchased 5 of the HB-1 Mk2's and am totally happy with them. I actually owned them a few years ago but sold them when I was in my speaker-hopping days. Since then I've always regretted not giving them a long-enough chance so finally I decided to go back and listen again. And I ended up buying them again.

I've had quite a few speakers, of which the Hsu's are the least expensive but they take a back seat to none. They just sound natural and sound good - no harshness at all, even when turning up the volume. They are excellent speakers - not just for the price, but in absolute terms. I'm done with my grass is greener days - it's plenty green right now!

I also love how Dr. Hsu doesn't use a bunch of fancy nonsense stupid equipment like cables the size of boa constrictors or fancy tube equipment that looks like a small castle or other such absurdities, but just has a sensible setup.

Thanks for posting the thread - it was an enjoyable read!
