new guy
Hi. I rarely post to any fora but am excited with my foray into bass (how low can you go).
I live in NY state, and recently got tired of the visual and physical clutter that my 5 speaker HT represented (note, not 5.1). So, I sold it all, at good prices, and replaced it with a Polk surroundbar and bought a Hsu STF-2, to arrive in 5 days. The surroundbar provides a convincing surround effect through psychoacoustic wizardry, but the small drivers cannot provide the bass needed. I spoke to Pete of Hsu and we decided upon the STF-2 for my 15' x 11' x 9' dedicated HT space. I can't wait for the sub to get here. I use an Integra AV receiver and a Toshiba Regza 42" LCD TV. This is a movies only system, since listening to music in a basement is depressing to me. I have a simple music only stereo system (CD player and integrated amp) upstairs where there is ample sunshine. I wonder if anyone else has tried a HSU sub with a surround bar? |

Congrats and welcome to the forum! I can't say that I have tried a soundbar, but I can tell you I am fairly certain you will love your new HSU sub! Good luck and let us know how you make out. Pics are welcomed too!
