Question Few questions about VTF-1

My VTF-1 is on the way and meanwhile I have few questions about it.
I never owned a sub of such quality and therefor my questions may sound silly to some.

1. Can I change sub's crossover (on the sub not receiver) while sub is on and music is playing?
2. Should the subwoofer be set to AUTO or ON and what is the difference between the two?
3. When going from max extension to max output do I need to switch the sub OFF prior to this change?

Thank you.

Hi Orochi,

Sure, you can adjust the subwoofer crossover while the subwoofer is playing. You can set the power switch to 'Auto', but the only difference between that and the 'On' position is the signal sensing and changing color of the LED. Finally, when using the variable tuning feature and switching modes, you do not need to turn the subwoofer off. But when switching from max extension to max output mode, I recommend flipping the bass extension switch first to '2 port open' mode, and then removing the port plug. And when switching from max output to max extension mode, I recommend plugging the port first, and then flipping the bass extension switch to '1 port open' mode.

Thanks

Sincerely,

Pete, thank you very much for your input.

One more question. Based on your experience when listening to music, what would you set the sub's crossover to when the other two speakers in the setup go as low as 50Hz?
