Anyone here using the VT-12 and STF-2 with the Panasonic SA-XR50?

I am deciding between this receiver and the Onkyo 502. The Panasonic has been given many good reviews for sound because of the digital amplifier. If anyone has their system hooked up to this receiver I would love to hear some input for this receiver. Thanks.

Hi, I have a Panasonic receiver that is a about a year old. I am at work now and don't recall the model #. I do know that the lowest crossover that you can select is 100hz. I picked that receiver because of good reviews from Consumer Report and S&V. Actually the reviews were for a Panasonic model a step below the one I purchased but I was encouraged by the review. I like the receiver but it does not have direct access to the inputs on the front nor the remote. Otherwise all is well. I have the VTF-2 sub and the lowest crossover is 90hz. A 10hz difference should not make to much difference if you ask me.

I too run my Vt 12s and a Vtf 2 with a Panasonic reciever.I have the SA-HE70 and to me it does a pretty good job.The 100hz crossover doesn't seem to affect the sound of the sub or the sats, they seem to blend together pretty well.I also read the reviews in S&V mag as they were pretty positive on the Panny reciever. There dosen't seem to be any localization problems with the 100hz crossover in my setup.
