Y - Adapter cable for MBM Question.
I have a 3-HO and the MBM is on it's way.
I got a HK AVR7000 Receiver. It has only one sub output. I already have a subwoofer cable from bettercables.com for the HO. I am going to purchase the audio subwoofer cable from hsu for the MBM. My plan is to get a rca y adatper splitter. HSU does not sell a y adapter for me to split my HO and MBM. If i get a cheap y adapter, then will it make the quality of the "GOOD" hsu and bettercables cable useless, correct? Since the signal needs to pass through the y adapter first. Anybody have a suggestion on what kind of y adapter to buy. Or where to buy the best one for the price? How is other MBM owner here wiring the sub with only one sub output from the receiver? Any suggestion will be appreciated. |

I'm sure you'll be fine as long as you don't get something really junky; If it has good connectors and decent gauge I'm sure you'll be good. Check out bluejeanscable, or grab something from mono price or radioshack. BJC ships pretty quick.
edit: the one I have from BJC is on this page, http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/subwoofer/index.htm for $15.00. Just make sure to choose which version you need (2F, 1M). Edit - Wid's example is nice...no more cable/connector changes than is absolutely necessary... |

Phoenix Gold makes some really nice connectors. I personally like the ones with two right angles. This way you can point them down to better hide the cable and put less strain on the RCA terminal.
