Help planning new system
As far as home audio is concerned I’m starting from scratch, and as you can see from the attached pic I don’t have a good layout for acoustics. There’s also no practical way to wire surround speakers so I’ve decided to go with the Hybrid 15 3.1 system. If I had to guess I’d say it will be used for 50/50 movies/music.
From the layout is there any guess as to which spot to locate the sub? I’m a newbie when it comes to this stuff, and I’ve been reading about sub crawl which I will take a shot at but wanted to see if there are any suggestions. At what point in my setup do I do the sub crawl? After I have already setup the L/C/R speakers? I’ll also need to get a receiver and could use some advice, as far as what to look out for and any quirks with particular brands, etc. Something in the $200-300 range. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks ![]() |

You can do the sub crawl at any point in setting your system up, that won't make a difference. If you can, some spots I would try are end table spots next to the arms of the couches. Behind the couches might be good too. If there is room behind the TV, you might try that space as well.
