Hi punks123,
I would recommend taking a look at one of our 5.1 or 7.1 Hybrid systems, which can be found at the link below: http://hsuresearch.com/products/hybrid15pkg.html The VTF-15H will provide the biggest bang for the buck, which high levels of output and efficiency. Please note the HB-1 Mk2 do not have any screw holes, so if you plan to wall mount them you'll have to use side clamping mounts or platform mounts. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us. Regards, Ryan The Hsu Research Team 985 N. Shepard Street Anaheim, CA 92806 USA 714-666-9260 |

Does your $2k budget include the receiver or is that for the speakers and sub exclusively? Some brands of receivers which are highly regarded are Pioneer, Harman/Kardon, Denon, Yamaha, Marantz, and Onkyo. If you need to squeeze a receiver into your budget, I would look into a 5.1 package from Hsu which uses the VTF2 subwoofer. For mounts for the Hsu speakers, I would check out the AM40 Pinpoint side-clamping mounts, I think they are the best mounts under $100, and they don't require you to drill holes in your speakers.

i can stress to about 2.5k max... Don't want to spend too much, saving for a theater room upstair. I have been checking out on those clamping mount.. it seem that it fit with the book shelf speaker from hsu. Gonna need two set of those if I do get the 5.1

Just noticed your room size. With that room, you will want a VTF15h, if you can fit it in the budget. Whatever package you get, make sure the VTF15h is in it, even if you have to step down to a 3.1. You can always add some surrounds later, or use cheaper speakers for them.
