Using a Y splitter to go into both rca ins?
Would there be any gain or advantage to using a Y splitter so that both Left and Right RCA inputs can be used? Now I run a single RCA cable into the Left input. Thanks.

You only need to connect a single RCA cable from your subwoofer out on your receiver to either the Left or Right LFE sub input. If you were to use a Y-splitter you would effectively be sending a +6 dB signal.

Would the splitter be detrimental to tone? Do you mean the sub would be 6dbs louder than before (settings being relative of course)? Thanks for the info!

I guess what I am getting at is: would a splitter be a cheap way to get any audio improvement?

In my opinion, it may be more detrimental for your amplifier, as you run the risk of overdriving it.
