VTF tuning for movies vs music…

I have the VTF-2 MK4 subwoofer, and I use it for, hmm, maybe 70% film and 30% music. The music is virtually all classical, jazz, opera and theater music - hardly any rock, metal or anything else with loud, over-amplified instruments or a "singer" screaming at the top of his lungs into a poor, defenseless microphone 1/8" in front of his mouth.

So… is there a rule of thumb I can use regarding VTF tuning? I currently have one port open for everything, but should I have the thing sealed for music? Just wondering.

Best thing to do is just try it. For us we try to have it set so that we are getting a pretty linear response and that works well for both music and movies, but personal tastes differ.
